Demographics of Ceres Clients

One of the things that stood out to us was how many people are interested in learning more about who our work is supporting, so we wanted to take the opportunity to share some of that information!

Ceres currently serves folks who reside in Marin and Sonoma counties, who have an acute or chronic diagnosis that prevents them from shopping and cooking for themselves. Common chronic conditions we serve include diabetes and heart disease. Presently, the makeup of our clients looks like this:

Ceres does not charge clients at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, and for those with incomes above that marker, we use a sliding scale that starts at $10 per week.

The work our community does to support Ceres directly impacts the lives of these clients who are in need of these nutritious meals! Please always feel free to ask us more questions of how the work we are doing benefits the community and who we are working to help.

“I am so grateful for Ceres’ meals. I feel much healthier. It seems like as we get older we are forgotten by much of society. Ceres takes good care of me and helps me to feel connected to others. I love knowing that teenagers are helping me. It's good to feel the camaraderie between the ages. I love the soup - it's the best part.”
