The last video in our series features Lili Gunter, our Client Manager, sharing the stories of some of our clients.
We send you our deepest gratitude for the difference you made this past year in the lives of the client families we nourished with healing meals and a community of caring, and the teens who were mentored and empowered as they grew and prepared those meals.
Kelly is a single mom of three girls. Ceres' Delivery Angels brought nourishing meals to her door for twelve weeks as she recovered from a major surgery that left her unable to lift more than 5 pounds or raise her arms for two months.
The meals allowed her oldest daughter, Molly, to continue to work full-time and know that her mother and sisters would have healthy meals available when she wasn't there to cook and care for them. Molly now volunteers as a Teen Chef in our Sebastopol kitchen, happy to be helping other families facing a serious illness.
I hope you'll take a few minutes to hear their story!
Ceres builds healthy, connected communities. Hear our teen volunteers and clients tell you how. You are a vital part of our community. Thank you for joining with us to help Ceres' clients and volunteers thrive!
Thanks to what they've learned at Ceres, our clients and teen volunteers will consume an additional 4,000,000 servings of vegetables and fruits over the next 10 years.
Why does that matter? Studies show that increasing vegetable and fruit consumption is one of the best ways to avoid developing a chronic disease like diabetes, heart disease or cancer.
When you give to Ceres, your donation doesn't just provide whole, organic meals to local families facing a health crisis. You're also making a life-changing difference for the teens who volunteer to prepare those healthy meals in our kitchens.
I hope you'll take a few minutes to listen and be inspired by the words of some of our extraordinary teens and clients.
