Media Kit

Founded in 2007, Ceres Community Project is a nonprofit with a unique, integrated model. In our kitchens and gardens, teen volunteers learn to grow food, cook nourishing organic meals, gain leadership and job skills, and give back to their community.  Adult volunteers deliver the meals they prepare to local low-income individuals and families facing a health challenge like heart disease or cancer. The meals help clients and their families face the medical, emotional and financial toll of a serious illness. Cards made by our volunteers, bouquets from our garden, and caring connections with our Delivery Angels and staff let our clients know their community cares about them

We include education about healthy eating in our work with clients, teen and adult volunteers, and through classes we teach in health clinics, libraries and at our own kitchens. Ceres serves Sonoma and Marin counties, and has trained 13 communities across the country to replicate our model. Through our advocacy and policy work, we seek to increase access to healthy, affordable food and meals on a wide scale.
