• provides delicious nourishing meals for our neighbors who are dealing with a life-threatening illness
•teaches teens how to cook and eat for health and gives them opportunities to learn about the joys of volunteering, and
•educates our community about the vital role that whole local and organic foods play in the health of people and the planet.
Help provide sustainable support for our work by making a year's worth of monthly gifts. Just $15 a month provides a month of nourishing meals to a client family and $45 a month will support a family for three months.

Not only did the weekly food deliveries help me to maintain a healthy diet, especially since I had so little energy for preparing food; I felt like I was being held in the nurturing embrace of the larger community. Cancer can be isolating, and the brief (and sometimes extended) visits with the people who delivered the food were as nourishing on an emotional and spiritual level as the food. I am so grateful to all of the community members who make this project possible. Thank you!!!

I decided to make Ceres a beneficiary in my will because their approach makes the most sense to me. After 30 years as a nutritionist and 15 years as a health writer, I am convinced that eating organic foods and preparing meals with love in community is more beneficial to anyone with a serious chronic illness than the traditional, impersonal approach. By supporting Ceres my own beliefs are being carried into the future where we all are one.
