Letter from Client ‘Mary’

Dear Wonderful People of Ceres Community Project,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the most amazing gift of six months of delicious, healing food! I write haiku every day and this one is for Ceres:

Angels bring bundles

of beautiful food from which

love shines—and love heals.

Angels appeared at my door every Wednesday for six months, bearing bundles of beautiful food, harvested fresh and vibrant from the earth and prepared with love by golden hearts and hands. Love shines from this food, and love heals. On some special occasions, an extended band of angels tucked in extra surprise gifts that delighted and touched my heart. I felt personally known and cared for.

My wife and I needed this healing food to help us through a challenging time. I had a surgery with an intensive recovery as well as a chronic condition, and although I was the Ceres client, my wife and I both benefited from the nourishing Ceres food. I especially looked forward to the salads, my wife delighted most in the soups and stews, and we both loved it all. The delivery angels were beacons of light. It alleviated so much stress for us to know we had this healthy, delicious food coming every week so we didn’t have to shop or prepare it or even pay for it! That made a huge difference. The astonishing goodness and generosity of everyone at Ceres and the brilliant food itself has healed us on many levels.

Tomorrow will be the first Wednesday in six months without a Ceres delivery. We already miss it. However, I’m well enough to cook again (yay!), I have Ceres’ cookbook, and I’m creating meal plans and shopping lists based on the meals you provided. Thank you for the nutrition education as well! It will continue to make a positive difference in our lives.

Thank you, thank you, a million thanks! We are forever grateful. May the bountiful goodness you’ve given us return to Ceres multiplied and may countless people long into the future be nourished by your loving, joyful, healing food and your dedicated angels.

With great respect and love,

Client ‘Mary’
